Kate Shouesmith MBE
Chair of Trustees

Kate is a director at Brunswick where she develops communications campaigns for multinationals and NGOs. Kate spent five years as a special adviser to David and Samantha Cameron in 10 Downing Street. She worked on political operations for three referenda and two general elections and subsequently helped to establish the No10 external relations team where she was responsible for business engagement. She was awarded an MBE for public and political service in 2016.

Joshua Richards
Trustee

Josh is an ordained Church of England minister, currently serving as an assistant curate at St Mary's Church, Islington. He is also a PhD student in the Divinity Faculty at the University of Cambridge. Before training for ordination, Josh worked for the Good Faith Partnership, focussing on migration and resettlement policy.

Ayo Afolabi
Trustee

Ayo is a consultant, author, speaker & minister of the gospel, who is passionate about seeing the next generation thrive and seeing Christ established in the marketplace. He has served as a Youth Pastor and sits on various boards and advisory committees, providing strategic advice to institutions who focus on bridging the gap between civil society, politics, business, and faith. In 2018, he co-authored his first book, which was published by SPCK, the oldest Christian publishing house in the UK.

Ayo is currently a director at a leadership strategy consultancy with expertise in Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Board and Exec Suite Effectiveness and Executive Coaching and Leadership Development. He is passionate about seeing individuals thrive, and in turn contribute effectively to the success of organisations and society at large.

Amit Popat
Trustee

Amit has worked as an Equality Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) specialist for over 20 years holding senior positions as an in-house specialist and external consultant. Amit is a D&I advisor to Enneagram Worldwide organisation and is set to be a ICF certified Enneagram Teacher/Coach. Amit headed up the Equality and Access to Justice and the Bar Standards Board for five years. Throughout his career Amit has published numerous D&I articles, most recently for Counsel magazine, No place for systemic racism, and for the international Think Publishing journal Project, Making Diversity Happen, how using a project management framework can instil ED&I.

David Barclay
Trustee

David is a Partner of the Good Faith Partnership and leads on projects ranging from increasing the provision of affordable credit to supporting cities to become more inclusive of migrants and refugees. He is a former President of the Oxford University Student Union and was previously a community organiser in East London.
